Working with Chris Godsey at Godsey Homes was a pleasurable experience. This was the first home we had built and we were guided through all of the details involved in building a home. Chris was very intuitive as to what our family needs were and how we lived in regard to design as well as providing a structurally sound home.

Trust is a huge factor in working with someone, especially when building your home. My husband, Bill, and I have been blessed with having found a builder that we could have that kind of relationship with, not just once, but twice. That builder was Chris Godsey with Godsey homes.
In 1998 we had our first encounter with Godsey Homes. Chris did a remodel (interior and exterior) and an addition on our 1967 home. The job was quite a challenge and Godsey Homes was up for the challenge. We were very pleased with the end result. The experience was one we have a positive memory of, and we even lived in the house throughout the process! The knowledge, expertise and passion demonstrated by Chris throughout the building process made working together easy.
In 2004, we had the opportunity to build a new home. We had such a positive experience with Godsey Homes the first time that we hired them again to build our new home. Again, we felt like Chris took us through the entire process with great ease. She was a wealth of information and is a great listener. The details on a new home seem infinite. Chris paid attention to the large and small details from the planning period to closing, which we really appreciated. We always felt our concerns were heard, discussed and worked out to our satisfaction. We have enjoyed our “Godsey Home” for almost 5 years and are so happy we decided to build.
Building a new house is not for everyone, but if you are going to do it, we highly recommend Chris Godsey with Godsey Homes. Go with someone you can TRUST!

We bought property in the Boerne area because we loved the Hill Country and wanted to retire here. Fortunately, we were able to see our dream come true. Once we bought the property, we met with an architect who designed our house. We talked to several builders who were more interested in building a large house while we were more interested in downsizing.
We went back to our architect who recommended Chris Godsey. Chris is a builder everyone would love to work with; she was very interested in our thoughts and was very accommodating. She took time to show us houses she had built and recommended some design changes that turned our house into the dream we truly wanted.
Once we got past the design stage, Chris went with us to determine where to set the house. We wanted to maximize our view as well as save a tree that would be near the house. We were able to accomplish both.
Next, Chris drew up a cost break down and a payment schedule that mirrored the home building process. We were kept informed throughout the building phase and there was never a surprise.
The quality of our home is exceptional. This was not the first home that we have built so we knew what to look for; the workmanship was first class.
Chris helped us not only build our home, but she helped us with the decorating. We don’t know of any builder that would help you pick the material for your living room furniture and then help us pick it up from the retailer.
Our home was built in 2005. Today, we stay in contact with Chris and consider her our friend.

I bought my home in 2006 and there wasn’t much to be done besides remodeling the kitchen. I had some quality cabinets in my kitchen that I didn’t care for….but I didn’t want to go to the expense to tear them out. So I just lived with them until I met Chris Godsey.
I knew when I first met her that she had great experience as well as aesthetic vision. When she walked into my home for the first time she was not only interested in my personal desires but she stressed that whatever decisions were made that we stay with the “integrity of the home”.
Within 3 weeks (from conception to completion) we remodeled my kitchen. A record, since I have had many other homes remodeled in my past which have taken much longer. This is a testament to the subcontractors who jumped at the chance to work with Chris because they know how professionally she runs Godsey Homes.
She was on site from early morning plumbing to late night granite installation and her workers gladly followed her direction. The transformation in my home has been admired by many. Not only am I pleased to enjoy my kitchen (and cabinets) in a whole new light but by keeping with the “integrity of this home” the value of my real estate has increased.

Working with Chris and Wayne at Godsey Homes has been a great experience for our whole family. When I met with Chris to discuss our first remodel, I really wanted to replace windows in the older part of our home to match the new windows we would be installing in the addition. Two other builders had toured our home and said the windows could not be replaced. Chris said, “Of course we can do that.”
That is how positive her attitude is in all her projects. She will find a way to do everything right. And guess what? The windows were replaced and they look awesome. Our remodel and addition became seamless on the outside thanks to that decision. This has remained true of Chris and Godsey Homes since our meeting in 2002, through our first home remodel, our addition, our veterinary practice remodel and addition, our kitchen remodel and our driveway and gate remodel.
I just love it when my friends walk into my kitchen and the very first things they comment on are all pieces that Chris chose! It says a lot about her commitment to quality products, quality subs and customer satisfaction as well as her eye for design. Our future projects will remain with Godsey Homes!
